If you’re looking to purchase an Apple Watch, you may be enticed by the sensors and capabilities of the Series 9 or Ultra 2. However, for the majority of individuals, the Apple Watch SE is sufficient and currently at a discounted price: Amazon is offering a $50 discount on all models of the Apple Watch SE as part of its October Prime Day event. This brings the 41mm model down to $199, which is the lowest price it has ever been sold for.
The 2020 Series 6 and the Apple Watch SE share the same appearance and screen, however, the SE lacks some important elements such as an always-on display, blood-oxygen and ECG sensors. It also contains a previous generation chip, but includes other features like a heart rate sensor, notifications for irregular heart rhythms, fall detection, noise monitoring, an always-on altimeter, sleep tracking, an 18-hour battery life, and water resistance up to 50M. Additionally, the latest software update adds Crash Detection and makes it compatible with watchOS 10.
Apple’s SE will not receive any updates until at least next year, so take advantage of its current lowest price.
