Sergio Garcia, who was recently snubbed from the Ryder Cup team, is still feeling the pain as he prepares to face the daunting Bethpage course. However, he has found support from a fellow Spanish professional.

After being denied a spot on the Ryder Cup team, Sergio Garcia’s absence was seen as a major loss for Team Europe. This was due to Garcia’s impressive track record in the biennial tournament, with 25 wins, 13 losses, and 7 ties, making him the top performer in the Cup.

After tying up with LIV Golf, he didn’t know that his decision would cost him one of the finest opportunities: playing in the Ryder Cup. However, things can change over time. In 2025, Garcia is in line to take over as captain of the European squad. And this fellow Spaniard is in full support of Garcia’s possible position on the team.

A Spanish golfer endorses Garcia for the 2025 competition against Woods!

Garcia, the winner of the 2017 Masters, has earned the highest number of Ryder Cup points among all players.

This year, he was supposed to continue his legacy. However, since he is no longer a member of the DP World Tour, he was unable to participate.

Despite the 43-year-old golfer’s last-minute attempts to join the team, they were unsuccessful. Ironically, while Tiger Woods is being considered as a future captain for the US team, Garcia and current captain Luke Donald are the top contenders for the captaincy position in 2025.

Spanish golfer Adri Arnaus believes that Garcia is the perfect pick for the team.

Arnaus suggests that these former Ryder Cup stars should be given another opportunity.

Sergio is certainly among them.

The 28-year-old golfer stated that if he is not actively playing, he should be considered as a future Ryder Cup captain. The year 2025 presents a potential opportunity for him.

I wish to see all of these individuals who have played a significant role in Europe and the Ryder Cup still involved.

Sergio Garcia

On September 2, 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Sergio Garcia took his shot from the second tee during the opening round of the Tour Championship golf tournament. He was captured in a photo taken by Adam Hagy and it was published by USA TODAY Sports.

Garcia is likely aiming for the prestigious role at the upcoming event. He has also seen improvement in other areas, such as the one mentioned below.

LIV Golf is about to have a major victory.

Currently, LIV Golf is the most profitable golf league. However, all LIV golfers are facing a drawback – the absence of OWGR. Numerous golfers have voiced their worries about this and signed a public letter in September.

However, the chairman of the OWGR board, Peter Dawson, has announced that they are currently considering LIV’s ranking points. According to Dawson, “We are nearing a decision on this matter, but I cannot provide any further details at this time.” The inclusion of LIV Golf’s points in the official rankings would add credibility to the organization and provide golfers with the opportunity to improve their world ranking and participate in prestigious tournaments.

The upcoming Ryder Cup will take place at the Black Course in Farmingdale’s Bethpage State Park, New York, known for its challenging layout. If Woods captains the US team and Garcia leads the opposing team, it will be a legendary showdown.
