In the first preseason game, 7’1 Chet Holmgren outshined ROTY candidate 7’4 Victor Wembanyama and dominated the Thompson Twins.

Chet Holmgren, a rising star in the NBA, has been making waves even before the start of the season. He is considered a top contender for the Rookie of the Year award, despite many fans and critics favoring Victor Wembanyama. In a recent game against the San Antonio Spurs, the 7’1 player for the Oklahoma City Thunder showed his potential. While Wembanyama had more highlights, Holmgren proved to be more efficient. Despite scoring only one point less than Wembanyama, Holmgren and the Thunder were able to secure an exciting 122-121 win.

Following a season-long break due to a Lisfranc injury, Holmgren is thoroughly enjoying being back on the basketball court. During a recent match against the Detroit Pistons, Chet is carefully strategizing and analyzing every aspect of the playing surface as he gets ready for his official debut in the NBA.

Chet Holmgren was able to dominate the game in under 3 minutes.

As the preseason progresses, the newly constructed Detroit Pistons team is facing strong competition from Chet’s impressive performance. Even with the addition of defensive standout Ausar Thompson, Chet powered through the Pistons, demonstrating an unstoppable presence.

After entering the game, Chet immediately began a remarkable scoring streak for OKC. In a span of only two and a half minutes, the 21-year-old sensation scored an impressive 10 points.

By halftime, OKC had taken a strong lead of 74-58. Chet quickly reached double digits, and his teammates also played a significant role in the team’s success. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s smooth scoring helped OKC have a total of four players with double digit points in the third quarter.

The upcoming game between Piston and OKC could have a different outcome.
