At 2 p.m., there will be a match between JRU and LPU.

At 4 p.m., there will be a game between EAC and San Sebastian.

JRU and LPU, two schools determined to break their championship dry spell, will face each other for the second time in a week as the second round of NCAA Season 99 eliminations begin today (Oct.24) at the Filoil EcoOil Arena.

Last week, the Bombers defeated the Pirates in an exciting double overtime game with a final score of 88-87. This win marked the beginning of a two-game winning streak for the Bombers and allowed them to tie the Pirates for the number three spot with matching 6-3 records.

The team suffered its third consecutive defeat following a successful start to the season with six consecutive victories.

The game will start at 2 p.m.

Despite any consecutive wins or losses, both schools are still in the running for the title. The Bombers are hoping to win their first championship in over 50 years, while the Pirates are aiming for their first NCAA trophy since joining the league over 10 years ago.

JRU coach Louis Gonzales was aware of what was to come.

Mr. Gonzales stated that we anticipate LPU to come out well-prepared and with determination.

Marwin Dionisio, who struggled with inconsistency in JRU’s first eight games, displayed improved performance in this game. He made nine of his 11 shots, including three successful three-pointers, and also contributed four rebounds, three assists, and two blocks without committing any turnovers.

At 4 p.m., Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) with a record of 5 wins and 4 losses will face off against San Sebastian College-Recoletos, who has a record of 3 wins and 6 losses, in their upcoming game.

The Generals, led by coach Jerson Cabiltes, are aiming to maintain their position at fifth place. Meanwhile, John Kallos and the Stags are hoping to revive their fading chances of making it to the Final Four.
