of 2019 AirAsia Philippines’ goal is to sell 500,000 seats before the end of the fourth quarter of 2019.


In the fourth quarter, AIRASIA PHILIPPINES aims to sell approximately 500,000 seats to meet the high demand for international travel this year.

Steve F. Dailisan, the head of communications and public affairs at AirAsia Philippines, stated in a media release that the company is promoting the comeback of international tourism by offering budget-friendly and convenient flights. He also mentioned that they expect to sell 500,000 seats on international flights by the end of December 2023.

In October, the low-cost airline reported selling approximately 300,000 seats for flights to Taipei, Incheon, Osaka, Narita, Hong Kong, and Bangkok within the next 90 days.

Mr. Dailisan stated that the company plans to expand into the Asia-Pacific region next year by adding more destinations and increasing their aircraft fleet.

AirAsia Philippines plans to expand its routes to Japan and China through the Clark International Airport, Mactan-Cebu International Airport, and Kalibo International Airport in response to growing demand.

In the past, the budget airline expressed positivity regarding improved results in 2024 following the extension of the contract between its parent company and CFM International, which supplies its engines.

AirAsia Philippines’ parent company, Capital A Berhad, recently stated their goal of completely restoring their fleet of 204 aircraft following a new deal with CFM International. – Ashley Erika O. Jose
