Apple includes a USB-C power adapter with all MacBook models, including the Air and Pro. If your laptop is frequently moved, it may be helpful to have an extra or a smaller charger specifically for travel. You can purchase an additional Apple charger or explore alternative, more adaptable and cost-effective options for your MacBook charging needs.
It’s crucial to be aware that purchasing a low-cost charger carries risks, and we advise against basing your decision solely on price. That inexpensive MacBook charger could potentially damage your laptop or become dangerously hot. However, there are reputable brands that offer high-quality chargers at a lower cost than Apple’s expensive ones.
Some things to consider when choosing a charger for your MacBook are voltage and wattage compatibility, durability, and safety features. It is important to make sure that the charger you choose is compatible with your specific MacBook model and provides adequate power for your needs. Additionally, a durable charger with safety features can help prevent damage to both your charger and MacBook.
Tips for selecting a MacBook charger
When deciding on a charger for your MacBook, there are a few key factors to keep in mind. These include making sure the charger is compatible with your specific MacBook model, providing sufficient power, and having durability and safety features to protect both the charger and your MacBook from potential damage.
You will require a USB-C Power Delivery (PD) charger to connect to your MacBook. PD chargers have the capacity to provide up to 240W of power, with the most commonly used ones meeting the standard laptop power needs of 30W, 45W, 65W, and 100W. All of the chargers we have tested are PD chargers and can also quickly charge an iPhone.
The latest PD version (3.1) has a maximum charging capacity of 140W, which is necessary for fast-charging a 16-inch MacBook Pro. However, it is important to note that only the MagSafe port is compatible with PD 3.1, meaning you must use Apple’s USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable instead of a regular USB-C cable in order to achieve the fast-charging speed. It is still possible to power the laptop using a USB-C or Thunderbolt cable, but the maximum power that can be delivered through those methods is limited to 100W.
The most crucial factor to consider when selecting a laptop charger, disregarding safety, is the power output it can provide to your MacBook.
A laptop requires a specific amount of watts to operate at maximum capacity, such as when running multiple applications or utilizing graphics and video rendering. This power consumption is taken into account by the manufacturer when determining the wattage for the included charger, rather than just simple web browsing.
When the laptop is not in use or performing simple tasks, it will only consume a minimal amount of power from the charger.
The newest MacBook models from Apple now have the ability for silicon fast charging. By using the correct charger and cable, the MacBook’s battery can reach 50% charge in just 30 minutes. For the M2 MacBook Air, a 65W or higher power adapter and either a MagSafe or USB-C charging cable can be used for fast charging. Refer to our M2 MacBook Air fast-charging tests for more information.
You can use a USB-C charger that is 96W or higher and a USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable or a USB-C charge cable to quickly charge your 14-inch MacBook Pro.
The 16-inch MacBook Pro allows for fast-charging using a 140W USB-C Power Adapter and USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable. However, this is only possible because the Thunderbolt ports are limited to 100W PD 3.0. Currently, Apple, Anker, and Ugreen are the only companies offering a power adapter with the PD 3.1 standard, which can provide up to 240W of power output. Other USB chargers typically have a maximum output of 100W.
It is acceptable to use a power adapter with a higher wattage to charge a laptop. However, this will not result in faster charging unless specific fast-charge guidelines are followed. Premium chargers, like the ones evaluated in this review, will not overcharge the MacBook battery and may even feature additional ports for charging iPhones and other devices. If the adapter has excess wattage, it can simultaneously charge other devices while also charging the laptop.
Prior to July 2022, the M2 MacBook Air was the only Apple MacBook model with a single charging port. However, with the increasing number of devices requiring charging, having multiple ports would be a more practical choice.
If your MacBook is running at maximum capacity, your charger may not have sufficient extra power to charge other devices. In order to charge your iPhone or AirPods while also powering your laptop, you may need to purchase a charger with a higher wattage that can allocate the excess power.
Apple has recently launched a 35W Dual USB-C Port Compact Power Adapter for its MacBook Air, which now allows for charging with two ports. However, due to the total power output of 35W, the charging speed may be slower when compared to using a single port.
Apple’s silicon-based power adapters are mostly larger than third-party chargers that are built using Gallium nitride (GaN) technology. GaN is a material that produces less heat—and less heat means components can be closer together. This means GaN chargers can be smaller than previously possible.
Several of the GaN chargers currently available on the market are compact enough to fit into a pocket, but keep in mind that you will still need to find a place to store the USB-C cable. While Apple may have been behind in adopting GaN technology, their newer power adapters are noticeably smaller compared to their previous versions.
The U.K. models are typically larger than the U.S. Type A and B plug versions due to their secure and durable three-pin Type G plug. Some may have folding plug pins like those on American wall chargers, but they are not as common except on chargers not made by Apple.
The dimensions listed in our reviews are for the U.S. versions of the products, and they are also displayed in the product images. However, the U.K. versions are also largely accessible.
We have evaluated and examined wall chargers that come with interchangeable plugs for global journeys, as well as wall chargers that serve as travel adapters with multiple plugs to cover all your charging needs no matter where you are, along with USB ports and an extra power outlet.
For those seeking complete portability without access to a power outlet, consider a laptop power bank. We have evaluated a 25000mAh power bank capable of fully charging a 14-inch MacBook Pro.
Wall, desktop or strip
The majority of the PD chargers we examine are wall chargers that directly connect to an outlet. Another option is a desktop charger, which is different from a wall charger as it uses a longer cable to connect to power, providing a wider range. While this may be a more organized and adaptable solution for a desk, it is not as portable for traveling as a wall charger that only needs a cable to connect to the device.
An alternative is a power strip or extender. The top choice we have come across is made by Ugreen. Its 7-in-1 power strip has a 100W capacity and includes two PD USB-C ports, one 22.5W USB-C port, one 22.5W USB-A port, and an extension plug socket on the top. There is also a smaller 100W PowerCombo strip by Baseus with four USB ports. Both products are evaluated in the following sections.
To charge your MacBook, you must use either a USB-C to USB-C charging cable or a USB-C to MagSafe cable to connect it to the charger.
If you have a Mac with a MagSafe 3 port (found on MacBook Air models released in 2022 and 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models released in 2021), you can use Apple’s USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable, which supports PD 3.1 and a maximum of 240W. This allows you to free up one of the Thunderbolt ports on your MacBook and provides protection against accidental cable pulls. It is necessary for fast-charging on the 16-inch model, but it comes at a higher cost of $49/£49 compared to a high-quality USB-C cable. Alternatively, Apple’s USB-C to USB-C charging cables (with a maximum of 100W) cost $19/£19, but there are cheaper options available from brands like Ugreen (available directly from U.S. or on Amazon.com/Amazon U.K.).
Some of the chargers mentioned in this review do not include a USB-C cable. While you can use the one that came with your MacBook, it’s always convenient to have an extra. Here are our top picks for USB-C and Thunderbolt cables.
Below are our top picks for MacBook chargers and later on we provide detailed advice on selecting the appropriate charger for your MacBook Air or MacBook Pro model.
The Anker 713 Nano II is the top choice for a 45W wall charger with a single port.
Collapsible outlet adapter (U.S.)
Best Prices Today: €37.90 at Shifter
Size (Width, Height, Depth): 1.38 x 1.49 x 1.62 inches (3.5 x 3.8 x 4.1 centimeters)
Weight: 2.44oz (69g)
The port is a USB-C with 45W power delivery capability.
Ideal for: MacBook Air
This single-port 45W charger is a much better option for MacBook Air owners as we believe that the Apple-supplied 30W or 35W Power Adapters are a little underpowered for the laptop’s potential maximum needs. It is also tiny in comparison to the Apple-supplied charger (38% smaller in volume than Apple’s non-GaN 30W Power Adapter, and 20% smaller than the 35W charger), and significantly cheaper while being a safe, trusted brand.
Similar to Anker’s other wall chargers, this version has foldable pins for the U.S. adapter. The U.K. version is also excellent, but does not have the convenient foldable pins.
The M2 Air can be rapidly charged with a 65W or higher power adapter. In comparison, the Anker 715 65W Charger (shown below) is a slightly more expensive and smaller alternative. Alternatively, you may want to consider a multiport 65W charger, like the Ugreen Nexode 65W 3-Port Charger or the Anker 735 65W Charger. These options are extremely compact and allow for simultaneous charging of other devices while charging your laptop.
The Anker 715 Nano II is the top choice for a 65W wall charger with a single port.

Size: (Width, Height, Depth): 1.65 x 1.42 x 1.74 inches (4.2 x 3.6 x 4.4 centimeters)
Weight: 3.96oz (112g)
One USB-C port with 65W Power Delivery 3.0 capability.
The Anker 715 is a budget-friendly fast-charger option for MacBook Air users, delivering 65W of power through a single port. It is smaller than the charger provided by Apple and features foldable U.S. plug pins. While it is cheaper than Apple’s charger, it is not as significantly cheaper as Anker’s 45W charger.
For those who own the 13-inch Pro or the entry-level 14-inch Pro, this charger is a budget-friendly, high-quality option that can serve as a compact alternative to Apple’s pricier 67W Power Adapter.
It can be utilized to quickly charge an M2 MacBook, however it will not overcharge it and will maintain the battery level while using your laptop. For fast-charging a 14-inch MacBook Pro, a 96W or 100W charger is required.
The Ugreen Nexode 65W is the top choice for a 3-port USB-C wall charger with 65W power output.
Retractable plug (United States and United Kingdom)
Lightest multiport charger
Size (Width, Height, Depth): 1.22 x 1.57 x 2.6 inches (3.1 x 4 x 6.6 centimeters)
The Ugreen Nexode 65W USB-C Wall Charger features three ports and is an excellent option for a compact, multiport charger with a high wattage. The U.S. and U.K. versions have foldable plug pins, making it easily portable as a three-port charger.
This product is truly impressive in its small size. The Anker Prime 67W Wall Charger, which is discussed in the following review, is equally compact and serves as a great mid-sized charger for MacBooks.
Each of the two USB-C ports can provide 65 watts of charging power, while the USB-A port can charge at a maximum of 22.5 watts. Other charging options include 45 watts for a laptop and 20 watts for a second device, as well as a combination of 45 watts and two 8.5 watt outputs. Additionally, using just one of the 65W ports can fast-charge an M2 MacBook Air.
The 100W power adapter can quickly charge the 14-inch MacBook Pro with either a USB-C charging cable or Apple’s MagSafe 3 cable.
Reworded: The Anker Prime 67W GaN Wall Charger is a 3-port USB-C wall charger with a maximum output of 65W, making it the best option.
The plug can be folded for both U.S. and U.K. outlets.
Smallest multiport charger
This model is not intended for the high-end 14-inch MacBook Pro.
Price When Reviewed: €59,99
Best Prices Today: €59.99 at Anker
Size (Width, Height, Depth): 1.6 x 1.5 x 1.9 inches (4 x 3.8 x 5 centimeters)
While the 45W or 65W single-port Anker chargers may be smaller and lighter, this GaN charger surpasses them with its three ports. Each of the two USB-C ports can deliver a maximum of 67W, although they cannot both do so simultaneously as the total output is limited to 67W. The USB-A port can provide up to 22.5W. Despite being the smallest multiport USB-C wall charger, it weighs only 136g, which is barely noticeable compared to the equally compact 130g Ugreen Nexode 65W 3-Port USB-C Wall Charger.
Both the United States and United Kingdom versions include a collapsible plug. The U.K. version is slightly bigger because of its Type-G 3-pin plug, but it is still the smallest and lightest 67W multiport charger available in the U.K.
Each port has the ability to charge devices according to their specific power needs. With one USB-C port, a laptop can be charged at a maximum of 65W. Alternatively, the laptop can be charged at 45W while simultaneously charging another device at 20W using the other USB-C port. Another option is to charge a laptop at 40W through the USB-C port, while also charging an iPhone or Apple Watch at a maximum of 22.5W through the USB-A port. When utilizing all three ports, the first USB-C port can provide 40W of power to the laptop, the second can charge an iPhone at 12W, and the USB-A port can power up AirPods at 12W.
This is an excellent option for quickly charging an M2 MacBook Air or as a multiport solution for the 13-inch and entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro. Like the Ugreen Nexode mentioned earlier, it can also power the high-end 14-inch MacBook Pro, but a 100W charger is needed for fast charging on that model.
The Anker 726 Nano II 65W Charger (available in both U.S. and U.K. models) is $15 less expensive. It features two USB-C PD ports and a foldable plug on the U.S. model. When both ports are used simultaneously, the bottom one will charge at 45W and the top at 20W. This charger also offers a white color option, which is not available in other Anker laptop chargers.

Weight: 8.8oz (249g)
There are four ports available: two USB-C ports with 65W PD 3.0, one USB-C port with 18W PD, and one USB-A port with 22.5W.
This 65W USB-C PD wall charger has the highest number of ports (4) we have ever seen, making it a flexible and diverse power source for both MacBook Air and 13-inch Pro. It is also compatible with the 8-core-CPU model of the 14-inch MacBook Pro.
This charger is significantly bigger than the three-port 65W chargers mentioned earlier, but it is a good choice if you require an additional charging port.
Two of the USB-C ports have a capacity of 65W, while one has a lower capacity of 18W, which is still sufficient for most phones and medium-sized tablets. The USB-A port can accommodate Quick Charge and handle up to 22.5W.
To quickly charge an M2 Air, utilize a 65W PD port. However, for a 14in Pro, you will need to find one of the 100W chargers mentioned in this review.
The Anker Prime 100W GaN Wall Charger offers 3 ports and is considered the top choice for a 3-port 100W USB-C wall charger.
Retractable outlet (United States and United Kingdom)

Size (Width, Height, Depth): 1.7 inches x 1.5 inches x 2.4 inches (4.4cm x 3.9cm x 6cm)
Weight: 6.5oz (183g)
There are two USB-C ports with 100W PD 3.0 capabilities and one USB-A port with 22.5W capability.
Recommended for use with 13-inch, 14-inch, and 15-inch models of the MacBook Pro.
The Anker Prime 100W GaN Wall Charger has a port less compared to the 4-port Ugreen 100W charger mentioned below. However, it is significantly lighter and more compact than the latter.
The two USB-C PD ports have a maximum power of 100W, so it is not possible to fast-charge a 16-inch MacBook Pro. However, it can still provide the necessary charge at a standard speed.
The USB-A port has the capability to provide 22.5W of charging power.
Another choice is the Anker 737 GaNPrime 120W Charger (for the U.S. or U.K.), shown in the image above. It also has three ports, but can deliver a maximum of 120W, allowing it to charge two medium-sized MacBooks simultaneously. It is slightly bigger (1.25 x 1.7 x 3.14in) and slightly heavier than the Anker 100W charger as a result.
The Ugreen Nexode 100W is the top choice for a 4-port USB-C wall charger with a 100W output.
Retractable plug (United States)
The third USB-C port has a power output of 22.5 watts.
The 16-inch MBP is unable to charge rapidly.

Ideal for: MacBook Pro models with 13-inch, 14-inch, or 15-inch display sizes.
The Ugreen 100W wall charger with four ports and a foldable U.S. plug is a great option for all MacBook models. While it may not be as compact as smaller chargers, it is still highly portable and even lighter than the company’s 65W 4-port charger.
This device offers various ways to charge, including 65W for laptops, 30W PD for lightweight laptops, and lower outputs for phones and other devices. With three ports, you can charge at 45W, 30W, and 22.5W. With all four ports, it can provide laptop power delivery at 45W and 30W, and two devices at 10.5W each.
Using one of the 100W PD ports, it has the ability to quickly charge a 14-inch MacBook Pro.
The charger for the U.K. model has a rounder and more barrel-shaped design. It does not have foldable prongs, but is otherwise identical.
The Ugreen Nexode 100W 2-in-1 GaN Desktop Charger is the top choice for a 2-in-1 desktop charger with 100W USB-C capabilities.

Taking a break from discussing USB-C wall chargers, we highly recommend this compact desktop charger. With a 100W capacity, it can efficiently charge a 16-inch MacBook Pro and has a versatile 15W MagSafe charging pad for iPhones 12/13/14/15.
This product features three high-performing ports, including two USB-C and one USB-A, as well as a fully certified and powerful wireless 15W MagSafe pad. The pad can be adjusted to accommodate both landscape and portrait modes when placing the iPhone on it.
By utilizing all four charging methods, you have the ability to provide 15W of power to an iPhone, 45W to a MacBook through one of the USB-C ports, 25W through the other USB-C port, and the final 10W through a USB-A port.
To speed up the charging process of your iPhone beyond the maximum 15W limit for wireless charging through a pad, you have the option of using one of the USB-C ports to fast-charge your phone with a cable.
This desktop charger includes a 2m power cable for connecting to a wall outlet.

Best for: MacBook Air; 13-inch/14-inch MacBook Pro
This compact 100W USB-C charger is more affordable and smaller in size compared to Apple’s 16-inch MacBook Pro charger.
Please be aware that according to Nekteck, this charger is not compatible with Apple’s MagSafe cables and can only charge via USB-C. The included 6.6ft (2m) USB-C cable is useful, but it may not be strong enough to fast charge a 16in MacBook Pro. This product is currently only available in the United States.

Best for: MacBook Air; 13-inch/14-inch/16-inch MacBook Pro
This is our initial evaluation of a multiport 140W charger (PD 3.1), which is 20% more compact than Apple’s single-port charger. However, it does weigh slightly more than both Apple and Anker’s 140W chargers.
The 16-inch MacBook Pro from Apple can be quickly charged by utilizing the lower USB-C port and connecting it to the laptop with the MagSafe 3 cable. There is also a 100W port located above and a 22.5W USB-A port at the top.

The package includes a 1.5m USB-C cable, however, Apple mandates the use of their special MagSafe cable for fast-charging even though this cable is compatible with PD 3.1.

Similarly to the Apple charger, the USB-C port is PD 3.1, allowing for fast-charging of a 16-inch MacBook Pro (or any MacBook that supports fast-charging). However, this is only possible when using the MagSafe option instead of a USB-C cable.
The cost is equivalent to Apple’s charger and also necessitates the use of a MagSafe cable for rapid charging on the 16-inch Pro model.

There are various ports available, including one USB-C with 140W power delivery (PD 3.1), two USB-C with 100W power delivery (PD 3.0), one USB-C with 45W power delivery (PD 3.0), and one USB-A with 22.5W power.
Ideal for: MacBook Air; 13-inch, 14-inch, and 16-inch MacBook Pro models.
The Satechi 200W USB-C 6-port PD GaN Charger, which is discussed later, includes two 140W PD 3.1 ports. However, it is not possible to utilize both ports at 140W simultaneously because the maximum power of the charger is limited to 200W. On the other hand, the Ugreen Nexode 300W GaN Desktop Charger may only have one 140W PD 3.1 port, but it is capable of quickly charging a 140W 16-inch MacBook Pro and another MacBook simultaneously at 100W each.
When all ports are in use, the port hierarchy is as follows: 140 watts, 65 watts, 45 watts, 10 watts, and 22.5 watts.
Instead of providing a 240W USB-C charging cable like the Satechi, this desktop charger comes with one that is only 100W. However, in order to fast-charge the highest model MacBook Pro at 140W, Apple requires you to purchase their USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable separately. This inclusion may seem unnecessary for Mac users as the Thunderbolt/USB-C ports can only handle up to 100W.
If you need a desktop charger with a high maximum power output, this should be sufficient for most requirements.
The Satechi 200W USB-C 6-port PD GaN Charger is the top choice for a 200W USB-C desktop charger compatible with the 16-inch MacBook Pro.
140W PD 3.1
Reworded: Fast Charging for Apple’s 16-inch MacBook Pro
No USB-A port
Size (Width, Height, Depth): 4.13 x 4.13 x 1.38 inches (10.5 x 10.5 x 3.5 centimeters)
Weight: 1.37lb (622g)
There are two USB-C ports with a power delivery of 140W using PD 3.1 and four USB-C ports with a power delivery of 100W using PD 3.0.
Ideal for: MacBook Air, 13-inch/14-inch/16-inch MacBook Pro
This desktop charger has a maximum power output of 200W and includes six ports, which is the same as the Ugreen Nexode 200W 6-Port desktop charger that was discussed earlier. However, this charger also supports PD 3.1 and can provide 140W fast-charging for the 16-inch MacBook Pro by using Apple’s USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable.
If you have multiple devices that require a lot of power, the Ugreen Nexode desktop charger with a 300W capacity may be a better option than a 200W charger. In this review, we discuss the Satechi charger which has a port hierarchy of 65W/45W/20W/20W/20W/20W when all ports are in use.
All the ports are USB-C, so an adapter is required to use a USB-A charging cable. Some products, like Fitbit, still require this type of cable.
The first two ports have a power delivery of 3.1 (140W) while the remaining four ports have a power delivery of 3.0 and are rated at 100W.
Unfortunately, it’s disappointing that the product does not come with a 240W USB-C charging cable. However, due to Apple’s fast-charging USB-C restriction, this is not a major concern for Mac users.
The Ugreen Nexode 200W 6-Port is a top-rated desktop charger that offers a combination of USB-A and USB-C ports for optimal charging capabilities.
The product comes with a USB-C cable that is 1m in length.

Ideal for: MacBook Air and 13-inch/14-inch MacBook Pro
This desktop charging device has impressive power and includes 6 ports, yet it is surprisingly compact. It may not be convenient for personal carrying, but it is perfect for travel.
We anticipate it will remain stationary and have the ability to charge multiple devices on several desks. It has the capability to charge up to four USB-C devices (three laptops and a USB-C tablet) and two smartphones or other devices simultaneously with its impressive 200 watts of charging power.
Although the overall output is 200W, each port can only handle a maximum of 100W. This is sufficient for charging even Apple’s largest laptop, but not suitable for quickly charging the 16in Pro.
This is an excellent choice for charging up to three MacBooks simultaneously. For instance, you can charge two at 65W and one at 45W, with extra capacity to also power another device at 20W.
Utilizing all six ports would enable a mix of one 65W PD, two 45W PD, and one 20W PD and two lower-power devices, such as an iPhone, AirPods, or iPad.
It comes with a USB-C cable measuring 3.3 feet (1 meter) in length.

There are four ports available: one USB-C with a power delivery of 140W and a PD version of 3.1, two USB-C ports with a power delivery of 65W each, and one USB-A port with a power delivery of 12W.
Ideal for: MacBook Air; 13-inch/14-inch/16-inch MacBook Pro
This 140W PD 3.1 wall charger may not work with Australasian power sockets, but it can be used in the US, UK, or EU and is portable for travel within those regions. However, it is heavier than other wall chargers with travel plugs.
Even if you do not travel often, we believe you will find the option of interchangeable international plugs useful. It will still work well even if you choose not to travel at all.
The device contains four ports: one USB-C port with 140W power output, capable of quickly charging a 16-inch MacBook Pro using Apple’s MagSafe cable; two USB-C ports with 65W power output each; and one USB-A port with 12W power output. When all ports are in use, the device supplies power at 65W for the USB-C port, 45W for another USB-C port, 20W for a third USB-C port, and 12W for the USB-A port. This allows for charging multiple devices such as a 13-inch or entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro, as well as smaller devices like an iPhone or Apple Watch.

The Minix Neo P3 wall charger has four ports, including two 100W USB-C ports. Its unique feature is the removable travel plugs (U.K., E.U.) that can be attached to the folding U.S. plug pins. The charger also has two 100W USB-C PD ports, one 20W USB-C port, and an 18W QuickCharge 3.0 USB-A port, making it suitable for charging a variety of devices simultaneously.

Ideal for: MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and 14-inch MacBook Pro with 8-core processor
The OneWorld65 resembles a typical global adapter, but it stands out with its 65W PD Charger built-in, allowing for the simultaneous charging of six devices.
This device includes a 65W USB-C PD port, a 20W USB-C PD port, another USB-C charging port, and two USB-A charging ports. The non-PD USB-C port and the two USB-A ports have a shared power of 15W.
The maximum power output is 65W. If a medium-sized laptop is being charged while in full use, there may not be enough extra power for other devices.
In addition to the USB ports, this device can also function as a travel adapter. The sliding connectors are compatible with wall sockets in over 200 countries, including the US, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, China, and the UK. This allows for a wide range of plug options on both sides of the OneWorld 65.

Ideal for: MacBook Air, 13-inch, 14-inch, and 16-inch MacBook Pro.
The OneWorld135 is an upgraded model of the OneWord65, boasting a 100W USB-C output that can effectively charge a 16-inch MacBook Pro. However, it does not support fast charging as this requires a 140W PD 3.1 port. Equipped with a universal power outlet and four USB ports, it has the capability to charge up to five devices at once.
The maximum output is 135W, allowing it to charge a large laptop and have remaining power for a small laptop or quick-charging several phones, headphones, and watches.
The sliding connectors are compatible with wall sockets in the US, Europe, Australia/New Zealand/China, and Britain.
The OneWorld100 is also offered in Black at a slightly lower cost. However, its maximum output is 105W, which means that if your 16-inch MacBook is using all of the watts, there may not be enough power left to charge your phone through the other USB ports. However, if you have a 14-inch MacBook and an iPhone, you can still fast-charge them together by connecting them with USB-C.

The MacMate, from OneAdaptr, is not a standalone charger. It must be connected to one in order to function. However, we have included it here as it is a noteworthy accessory and is available for purchase as part of the OneWorld65 Wireless or OneWorld100 Wireless bundles.
When connected to one of these travel chargers or a 60W+ charger, it serves as a central charging station for a MacBook, iPad, iPhone, and Wireless AirPods Case, or any combination of three Apple devices.
Additionally, it includes a wireless charging pad that can accommodate a third device.
When the MacMate is plugged into a charger, it can be connected to a MacBook and provide up to 60W of charging through a USB-C PD port. There is also another USB-C PD port that can offer up to 20W of charging for a separate device. At the top, there is a 10W wireless charging pad that is not compatible with MagSafe, but can still charge all wireless-charging iPhones.
In order to fully charge three devices simultaneously, you will require a 100W charger connected to the MacMate.
The charging station is small and easy to carry, making it a perfect compact charging option for multiple devices, especially when used with the OneWorld 65.

It is not always convenient to have access to a power outlet when we need to charge our MacBook Pro or Air. Without a power source, none of the chargers mentioned will be helpful.
Although it is common for us to carry power banks for our phones, laptop power banks are not as common. However, they are just as useful when our devices run out of power.
With a capacity of 25000mAh, this Ugreen laptop battery pack is able to fully charge a dying MacBook Pro and still has enough power left to quickly charge your iPhone. It also has the capability to charge both devices simultaneously, as well as your AirPods or Apple Watch, with its three ports.
The LED battery capacity indicator is convenient for determining the remaining power before leaving home.
It is suitable for air travel and can be a helpful companion in your carry-on bag if you plan to use your MacBook during a lengthy flight.
Please remember to bring your charging cables. The provided USB-C cable can be utilized for both charging your MacBook and refilling the power bank, but not at the same time. It takes approximately two hours for the power bank to reach full capacity with a 65W wall charger, which is not included.

What is the top charging option for M1 or M2 MacBook Air models?
The MacBook Air comes with a 30W or 35W Power Adapter, but we suggest using a 45W charger for all MacBook Air models (including Intel-based and M1/M2).
The Anker 713 Nano II 45W Charger (U.S. / U.K.) is a highly compact option for a 45W charger with a single port. It is approximately 40% smaller than Apple’s 30W charger and offers more power than their 35W Power Adapter at a lower cost. While it only has one port, using a 35W charger with a MacBook Air may not provide significant additional charge if the laptop is in use or charging other devices like AirPods simultaneously.
Opting for a multiport charger with a power output of 65W or 100W would be a more practical choice. Anker’s three-port Anker Prime 67W GaN Wall Charger (available in the U.S. and U.K.) can simultaneously charge a laptop at 45W and an iPhone or iPad at 20W. It features two USB-C ports, each capable of PD charging at 65W (although not simultaneously), and also includes a USB-A port with a power output of 22.5W. This charger can even handle a MacBook Air at 40W (which is higher than what Apple’s original charger provides), an iPhone at 12W, and AirPods at 5W, or quickly charge an M2 MacBook Air.
The Ugreen Nexode 65W USB-C Charger (U.S. / U.K.) has three ports and is slightly larger. It has the capability to charge a laptop at 45W and two smaller devices at 8.5W each when all three ports are in use.
The top choice for charging a 13-inch or 14-inch MacBook Pro is the best charger.
The 13-inch MacBook Pro comes with a 67W Power Adapter, meaning that a 65W charger can be used to save money and reduce size.
The charger you select for your 14-inch MacBook Pro will vary depending on the specific model. The base model comes with a 67W adapter, while the 10-core model comes with a 96W charger.
A charger with a power of 65W is sufficient, but it will not charge as quickly as a 100W model. Among single-port chargers, Anker offers the most affordable option with the 715 Nano II 65W (U.S. / U.K.) model. For a multiport charger with a power of 100W, we recommend either Ugreen’s 4-port Nexode 100W USB-C Wall Charger (U.S. / U.K.) or the Anker 737 GaNPrime 120W Charger (U.S. / U.K.). The Anker charger is smaller and has a higher total power output, but it has one less port. The Anker Prime 100W GaN Wall Charger (U.S. / U.K.) is very similar to the Ugreen 100W Charger and is appreciated by both U.S. and U.K. users for its foldable plug prongs.
In addition to rapidly charging a 14-inch Pro laptop through the 100W port, you can also charge it at its maximum 65W power and still have enough power left to charge another device at 30W. Alternatively, you can charge the laptop at a slightly slower rate and still have enough power to charge three other devices, such as your iPhone, iPad, and AirPods.
The top choice for charging a 15-inch MacBook Pro is this charger.
Although the 15-inch MacBook Pro comes with an 87W Apple Power Adapter, we suggest using a 100W charger for optimal performance. Our preference is for a charger that can charge multiple devices simultaneously, such as Ugreen’s 4-port Nexode 100W USB-C Wall Charger (available in both U.S. and U.K. versions).
The Nekteck 100W USB-C Charger (U.S.) is a budget-friendly option for a 100W wall charger with a convenient foldable U.S. plug. It includes a 2m (6.5ft) USB-C cable, but it is not compatible with Apple’s MagSafe 3 charger.
The Ugreen Nexode 200W USB-C Desktop Charger (U.S. / U.K.) is the most potent desktop charger we have tried. It has an impressive six ports, including four USB-C and two USB-A ports.
The optimal charger for a 16-inch MacBook Pro.
Apple used to make this suggestion simple, but now things have changed. The 140W Power Adapter (available in the U.S. and U.K.) can quickly charge the 16-inch MacBook Pro (from 2021 or newer) from 0 to 50 percent in just 30 minutes because it supports PD 3.1 charging, the latest technology.
Apple suggests using its 140W Power Adapter and USB-C to MagSafe 3 to quickly charge the 16-inch MacBook Pro (2021). The Thunderbolt ports have a PD 3.0 rating instead of 3.1, so this is the recommended option for maximum power on Apple’s biggest MacBook.
The companies Anker, Ugreen, and Plugable have recently introduced their own fast-charging USB-C 140W chargers with PD 3.1 technology. The Anker 717 Charger (U.S.) is priced similarly and has the same single port limitation. However, it is 40% smaller than Apple’s 140W charger, which has a taller design.
The Ugreen Nexode 140W Charger (U.S. / U.K.) is 20% more compact compared to the Apple 140W charger and features three charging ports. The bottom USB-C port provides fast-charging for the 16-inch MacBook, while the top port offers 100W charging and the topmost port provides 22.5W USB-A charging. However, it’s important to note that the maximum total output is 140W. This PD 3.1 charger is highly recommended as a secondary portable charger for 16in MacBook Pro users who frequently travel with their laptop.
If you do not require fast charging, a 100W charger should be sufficient for most scenarios. Additionally, there are numerous options available for multi-charging.
The Ugreen Nexode 100W USB-C Wall Charger (U.S./U.K.) features four charging ports. However, when it comes to a budget-friendly single-port 100W wall charger, the Nekteck 100W USB-C Charger (U.S.) is a top contender. It also includes a 2m (6.5ft) USB-C cable.
Once again, the Ugreen Nexode 200W USB-C Desktop Charger (U.S. / U.K.) is a reliable choice, although it may not be as convenient for on-the-go use.
What type of charger is required for each MacBook?
These are the specifications for the batteries and power adapters that come with Apple’s MacBooks:
The 30W Power Adapter is compatible with the M1 MacBook Air.
The M2 MacBook Air requires either a 30W or 35W Power Adapter, depending on whether it has an 8- or 10-core GPU (Graphics Processing Unit).
The 13-inch M1 MacBook Pro comes with a 67W power adapter.
The 13-inch M2 MacBook Pro comes with a 67W power adapter.
The 14-inch MacBook Pro comes with either a 67W or 96W Power Adapter, depending on whether it has a 14-core or 16-core GPU.
The 87W Power Adapter is compatible with the 15-inch MacBook Pro.
The power adapter for the 16-inch MacBook Pro has a wattage of 140W.
Is it possible to use a charger with a wattage higher than your laptop?
It is safe to use a laptop charger with a higher wattage because the laptop will only use the necessary amount of power. For example, if your laptop came with a 35W charger, it will never exceed 35W unless being fast-charged. Therefore, you can use a 65W, 90W, or even higher wattage charger.
If the charger has multiple ports, this extra power allows you to simultaneously charge multiple devices.
Is it possible to use a charger with a wattage lower than that of your laptop?
It is possible, but not recommended, to use a charger with lower wattage than what your laptop needs. For example, a 30W charger may not provide enough power for a 90W laptop. This could result in your laptop losing power while in use, and may even cause damage to the laptop or pose safety risks for the charger.
The charger with insufficient power may not be able to supply enough energy to your laptop, causing it to exert more effort in order to meet your laptop’s demands. This can potentially lead to overheating and even fire hazards.
