Elon Musk will be attending the AI summit hosted by Rishi Sunak.

Elon Musk, a prominent figure in the tech industry, will be present at the United Kingdom’s summit on artificial intelligence this week, as confirmed by Rishi Sunak.

A British government representative knowledgeable about organizing the meeting stated that the leader of X and Tesla is anticipated to be present for both days, as well as a distinct reception on Thursday following the summit.

Musk is scheduled to have a discussion with the U.K. prime minister “following the AI summit,” as stated in a post on Sunak’s verified X, previously known as Twitter, account on Monday evening.

The upcoming AI summit, centered on addressing risks and precautionary measures for advanced technology, is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday at Bletchley Park in Buckinghamshire.

The attendees of the event are under close surveillance. While French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and U.S. President Biden will not be present, they will be represented by delegates. However, it has been confirmed that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres, and Italy’s Giorgia Meloni will be in attendance.

Musk has previously advised caution when it comes to AI, as he has signed a letter expressing concern about the potential risks to society and humanity posed by AI systems with human-level intelligence.
