In the past two and a half years, Wear OS seemed to be struggling. The Android platform, designed for smartwatches and wearables, had limited options from Fossil and TicWatch and lacked support from Google. It also faced strong competition from the Apple Watch. With contributions from Samsung, Fitbit, Xiaomi, Qualcomm, and possibly OnePlus, Wear OS is now in a much stronger position and may finally be able to compete with Apple.
After many years, I am finally feeling genuine excitement for Wear OS. Why? Let me elaborate.
