These are the top new backgrounds in macOS Sonoma.
Macworld
Apple’s newest operating system, macOS Sonoma, comes with a plethora of stunning new wallpapers. They are so impressive that they may just be the top incentive for users to upgrade when it becomes available this autumn.
There are many new wallpapers available, a total of 47, featuring Cityscape, Underwater, and Earth themes. These wallpapers can be used as animated screensavers on a Mac, with the scene moving across the screen. If you use the Spaces feature, you can set a different wallpaper for each desktop Space. These wallpapers can also be used on the new Sonoma Lock Screen, which smoothly zooms into your desktop image. To access all of these wallpapers when using Sonoma, go to the Wallpaper tab in System Settings.
Please take a look at this example of our new wallpapers. However, please note that these are individual images from a larger animated sequence.
Sonoma River
The current version of macOS is named after the Sonoma Valley and includes five wallpapers featuring this location.
