The Touch Bar has met its end.

During the “Scary Fast” Mac event, Apple unveiled its latest MacBook Pro lineup, featuring M3 versions of the 14-inch and 16-inch models in a sleek Space Black color. However, the 13-inch MacBook Pro was noticeably absent from the announcement and is currently unavailable for purchase on Apple’s website.

The final laptop featuring a Touch Bar has been sold. While Apple has not officially declared the retirement of the 13-inch Pro, it appears to have been discontinued. The laptop is no longer available in the store and its specifications have been moved from the “Current laptops” section to the “More laptops” section on the Compare Mac models page. (The small MacBook Pro icon on the navigation bar still shows a model without a notch, but we assume this is a mistake.)

The 14-inch MacBook Pro has taken its place in the product lineup with a starting price of $1,599. This is an increase from the previous 13-inch model which was priced at $1,299, but the newer model comes with a lot more features for the additional $300. These include twice the storage, an HDR ProMotion display, HDMI and SDXC slot, and a more updated design. The M3 chip has also replaced the M3 Pro chip in this model.

Regrettably, in order to obtain the stylish new Space Black option, you will have to pay a minimum of $1,999 since it is exclusive to the M3 Pro and M3 Max versions. The 14-inch M3 MacBook Pro is still available in Space Gray and Silver.

If you’re interested in purchasing a 13-inch Pro with a Touch Bar, you can currently purchase one for $1,049 at Amazon, which is $250 less than its original price. However, stocks are limited so act fast. Alternatively, you can opt for a refurbished model from the Apple Certified Refurbished store.
