  • The second beta of Android 14 QPR1 features an updated version of the “Check for Updates” page on Google Pixel devices.

  • The boring, text-filled page has been replaced with a vibrant and useful page.

  • It is probable that this update will be released to Pixels in December along with the month’s Feature Drop.

Currently on your Google Pixel device, if you navigate to the Settings > System > System update section, you will come across a page with text and a button at the bottom labeled “Check for Updates.” While the page design may not be visually engaging, it holds significant importance as it provides essential information such as your device’s security patch and Android version, as well as any pending updates.

Thankfully, the Google Pixel “Check for Updates” page is finally getting a refresh (via Mishaal Rahman on X, with assistance from Nail_Sadykov_)

The most recent version of Android, 14 QPR1 beta 2, reveals its appearance. Warning: it is much more intriguing.
