  • Today, President Biden issued an executive order related to the rapid growth of generative AI.
  • The order aims to establish protective measures in order to mitigate national security threats, misleading information, and other issues commonly associated with AI technologies.

  • However, the arrangement does not address important matters, such as intellectual property theft, and does not provide strict regulations.

Given the rapid integration of generative AI into our daily lives, it may seem that governments were unprepared for its impact. Currently, there are minimal regulations in place to restrict the use of AI, and serious discussions about how to address it have only recently begun.

Today, President Joe Biden has issued an executive order that aims to tackle this issue. The order, which has not yet been made available to the public, is a government initiative to establish some regulations for generative AI systems like ChatGPT and Google Bard. Instead of releasing the full order, the Biden administration has provided a fact sheet outlining the key points. You can view it at the link provided.
