Looking for an inexpensive Pixel phone? Unfortunately, Google says you won’t have any luck.

During an interview, a Google executive stated that the company does not intend to release a Pixel device in the budget market.

A budget-friendly Pixel phone priced at €200/$200 would involve “a significant number of sacrifices.”
Google has launched the latest Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, introducing a new generation of high-end devices. This year, the lineup has grown significantly, with the addition of the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet. The early mid-range market is also covered with the Pixel A-series device, providing Google with a strong presence in the Android smartphone market across various price ranges. However, if you were anticipating a lower-priced Pixel device, unfortunately, Google has confirmed that there are no plans for such a product.
According to Google’s Vice President of Mobile Business, Mr. Nanda Ramachandran, the company has no intention of creating a budget-friendly Pixel device. He explained to German website Der Standard (via AndroidPolice) that producing a low-cost Pixel smartphone for €200/$200 would involve sacrificing too many important features, such as AI technology, camera capabilities, and strong security measures.
