for 2023 and 2024. The schedule for Apple’s events in 2023 and 2024.
Macworld
Apple doesn’t often participate in big industry-wide events such as CES or E3. The most valuable company in the world holds its own events, thank you very much. Several times a year, Apple invites the press and industry professionals to Apple Park to hear all about its latest products and services. Apple calls these ‘events,’ and streams them live online to millions of watchers.
In the year 2022, three events occurred: a spring event on March 8th, WWDC on June 6th, and the launch of the iPhone 14 on September 7th. It was anticipated that there would be another event in October or November, but it did not end up happening.
Up to this point in 2023, there have been two occurrences: the WWDC in June and the Wonderlust iPhone event in September. There is a possibility of another Apple event before the end of the year, but we are not certain. Keep reading to discover the upcoming events and product releases from Apple in 2023 and 2024.
When will Apple’s next event take place?
The iPhone 15 event for September 2023, hosted on September 12th, may mark the end of events for that year. However, there have been instances where Apple has held an October event and there is a chance it may do so again in 2023.
2018-10-30, 2017-10-30
In previous years, Apple has hosted events in October on the dates: October 30, 2018 and October 30, 2017.
- 2022: No event
- 2021: Monday, October 18
- 2020: Tuesday, October 13
- 2019: No event
- 2018: Tuesday, October 30
- 2017: No event
- 2016: Thursday, October 27
- 2015: No event
- 2014: Thursday, October 16
- 2013: Tuesday, October 22
- 2012: Tuesday, October 23
- 2011: Tuesday, October 4
Using these dates, it seems likely that Apple will hold an event in October, potentially around October 18 or the following week to align with the release of macOS Sonoma on October 26, 2023.
However, we think Apple’s next event will be in the spring of 2024. The company has already said it will launch the Apple Vision Pro headset “early next year in the U.S.” which does seem to point to a spring launch. Apple could be ready to launch a number of other products by that time, including a new iPac mini and M3 iMac and MacBooks.
When is the start time for the upcoming Apple event?
Apple typically begins their keynotes at 10 am in California, the location of their headquarters.

How long is the duration of an Apple event?
Apple presentations typically run for one to two hours and showcase CEO Tim Cook, alongside other Apple leaders. The WWDC and September events generally have lengthier keynotes, while the spring and late-fall events may be slightly shorter.
When does Apple host gatherings?
Throughout the year, Apple typically hosts three to four live or live-streamed events, which serve as a platform for the company to reveal its newest products and strategies during a keynote presentation. These events typically occur at consistent points in the year.
-
Spring event: March/April
- is happening now.
June: The WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) is currently taking place.
-
In September, there will be a fall event, also known as the iPhone launch event.
- October/November: Late-fall event(s)
This schedule of events is not definite, especially for the spring and October events which are less consistent. There are certain years where Apple does not have a spring event at all, like in 2023.
The summer and September events are more predictable, with software coming at WWDC in June and iPhones and Apple Watches in September. The October event often sees Apple launch new Macs, but this is another one that changes from year to year.
Apple
Are there any upcoming Apple events scheduled for 2023 and what products will be unveiled?
Using previous records and current speculations, here are the potential occurrences that may take place for the rest of 2023:
Late-fall event: October/November 2023
Apple typically hosts a late autumn event, usually in October or November, as a follow-up to their larger September launch. However, this event is not always guaranteed to take place. For instance, in 2022, there were speculations about an October event, but Apple ultimately chose to announce the new 10th-gen iPad and M2 iPad Pro through press releases instead. In the past six years, there have been a total of four late autumn events held by Apple, including a double-header in 2020. It is not anticipated that there will be a fall event in 2023.
Typically, Apple reveals new Macs and iPads at its annual fall event, while the September event typically showcases the latest iPhone and Apple Watch. Next year, we could see the debut of the M3 chip in the 24-inch iMac at this event, but it may not be available until 2024. Other possibilities for the late 2023 event include updates to the iPad mini 7 or a potential 14-inch iPad Pro.
What are the upcoming Apple events scheduled for 2024?
These are the anticipated occurrences in 2024 and the potential launches that may take place.
Spring event 2024
In both 2023 and 2020, there were no spring events held by Apple. However, when they do occur, they tend to be noteworthy. For example, in spring of 2022, Apple unveiled the iPhone SE 2, iPad Air, and Mac Studio and Studio Display. The following year, we saw the release of the iMac, AirTag, and Apple TV 4K. In 2019, the event was focused on Apple’s services, including Apple TV+, Apple News+, and Apple Arcade. It is possible that there will be another Apple spring event in 2024.
If there is an event, it will probably occur on a Monday or Tuesday in either March or April. Here is the timeline of past spring events hosted by Apple:
- 2023: No event
- 2022: Tuesday, March 8
- 2021: Tuesday, April 20
- -19
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be no event in 2020.
- 2019: Monday, March 25
- 2018: Tuesday, March 27
- 2017: No event
It has been confirmed that Apple’s Vision Pro headset will be released in “early 2024,” making a spring launch a realistic possibility. What other products might we expect to see? Perhaps a new iPad mini, M3 iMac, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, AirPods, a screen-equipped HomePod, or even a gaming device.
WWDC: June 2024
The annual WWDC event is typically held during the first or second week of June. In 2023, the opening keynote occurred on Monday, June 5th, where Apple unveiled three new Macs and the Vision Pro headset. They also shared details about upcoming updates for their operating systems.
After the Monday keynote, there will be various developer events and sessions taking place throughout the week. For more information on the date, times, and other important details about WWDC, please refer to a separate article.

There is also the possibility of an upgrade to Apple’s realityOS being announced. Additionally, WWDC occasionally serves as a platform for unveiling new hardware, such as the debut of the 15-inch MacBook Air, U2 Ultra Mac Pro, and Mac Studio in 2023.
The release event for iPhone 16 will take place in September 2024.
Every year, Apple holds an event in September to unveil their latest iPhone model, with the exception of 2020 due to production complications caused by Covid. The iPhone was instead announced in October that year. Here are the dates of Apple’s September events in recent years:
