Certain trade-in deals for the Pixel 8 are extremely poor.

  • Google has announced trade-in deals for the Pixel 8 smartphones.
  • The Pixel 7 Pro will only get you up to $420 in credit, less than the iPhone 11
  • Nevertheless, Google is providing substantial trade-in prices for previous generation Pixels and iPhones.

The latest release from Google, the Pixel 8 series, has arrived with a higher price tag of $100. To lessen the impact, one option is to take advantage of Google’s trade-in deals. However, some of these offers may appear disappointingly inadequate.

Initially, it appears that the company is offering lower trade-in values for its flagship Pixel phone of 2022. Google has stated that it is willing to offer up to $420 in credit for the Pixel 7 Pro, which was originally priced at $899. However, this amount is less than what was offered for the 2019 iPhone 11 (up to $440 in credit) and the 2021 Galaxy S21 Ultra (up to $430 in credit). The Pixel 7 has slightly higher trade-in value, with up to $325 in credit, but this is still lower than the 2018 iPhone XR ($350).
