The only notable difference is a slightly brighter screen with a maximum SDR brightness of 600 nits, compared to the previous 500 nits. The design of MacBook Pro and the 13-inch version of MacBook Pro have been discontinued.

In 2021, Apple has maintained the same design for the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. These laptops continue to feature a notch at the top of the screen, which holds the 1080p FaceTime camera, as well as slim borders and recycled aluminum cases.

The most significant alteration is the addition of the Space Black shade, which includes an “anodization seal” to decrease smudges. Space Black or Silver options are now offered for MacBook Pros equipped with the M3 Pro or M3 Max processors. The Space Gray option is no longer available for those particular MacBook Pro models.

The 14-inch M3 MacBook Pro has taken the place of the 13-inch MacBook Pro, which had an outdated design with the Touch Bar and bigger display bezels. The only way to get the 13-inch MacBook Pro (M1 or M2) is through Apple’s Certified Refurbished Store or a third-party seller.
