Samsung has consistently marketed the Galaxy Tab S9 series as the top-performing Android tablets, and this statement holds significant merit. However, the flagship models come with a premium price tag, which may not suit every consumer. In response, Samsung appears to be expanding its options for customers with the upcoming release of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series. Recently, a leaked report has revealed all details about the specifications, design, and other features of these new tablets.
The latest information has been revealed by WinFuture, stating that the upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 FE will feature a 10.9-inch LCD screen with a 2,304 x 1,440 pixel resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. It is estimated to weigh 524g and have a battery capacity of 8,000mAh. It will come in two options: 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage, and 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage.
The upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus will feature a 12.4-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. It will weigh 628g and include a 10,090 mAh battery. The tablet is expected to be available in two storage options: 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB. Interestingly, only the larger Plus model will be compatible with the S Pen stylus, even though images also show the regular tablet with an S Pen.
Inside, the tablets are anticipated to feature a Samsung Exynos octa-core Soc running at a maximum clock speed of 2.4GHz and equipped with an ARM Mali-G68 MP5 GPU. Both devices are reported to have the ability to expand storage up to 1TB through a microSD card. They are also expected to have an IP68 rating for protection against water and dust. Additional shared features include Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6, and the option for a 5G model. Interestingly, NFC capabilities are not included in these tablets.
Regarding the cameras, both tablets feature an 8MP main rear camera and a 12MP front camera. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus model will also be equipped with an 8MP ultrawide rear camera.
The upcoming tablets will be available in Gray, Mint, Silver, and Lavender. Leaks have indicated that the Galaxy Tab S9 FE will start at €529 (~$566) and the Plus model at €699 (~$748), with an additional €100 for the 5G versions. Samsung is likely to release these tablets along with the Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy Buds FE on October 4.
