The son of a renowned Russian wrestler, who is a world champion in his own right, has risen to the top of the USA’s wrestling world at a prestigious university with a budget of $65.1 billion.


Wrestling Insider Newsmagazine (WIN) reports on high school and college wrestling events in America. Every year, it releases its tournament power index of different universities and colleges. Recently, it has released its 2023-24 pre-season TPI. It also released the individual ranking of wrestlers.

The University of USA, with a total value of $65.1 billion, boasted ten top-ranked wrestlers across various weight divisions. In the national rankings for NCAA Division I, the renowned Russian wrestler and World Champion, Son, claimed one of the top ten spots.

Vito Arujau, the World Wrestling champion, has been ranked as the top wrestler in the world.

Vito Arujau, representing Cornell University, secured the top spot in the 133-pound weight division. He achieved a remarkable feat by winning the gold medal at the 2023 Senior World Freestyle Wrestling Championship in the 61 kg weight category, defeating the reigning World Champion Abasgadzhi Magomedov. In a statement to the media, Arujau declared himself as the most dynamic and dominant wrestler in the history of the sport. This was his first appearance at the world championship, adding to his impressive record which includes winning the 2023 NCAA title at Cornell and the US Freestyle Open.

Vito is the son of renowned Russian wrestler Vougar Oroudjov. His father achieved world champion titles for the Soviet Union in 1991 and 1995, and also competed in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, earning a bronze medal. Vito has set his sights on following in his father’s successful footsteps and bringing further recognition to his country. In addition to Vito, the top-ranked Penn State team showcased other talented wrestlers.

, including Vincenzo Joseph, Mark Hall, and Bo Nickal, are also expected to compete.

Carter Starocci and Aaron Brooks have been recognized as top performers in the 174 and 197 pound weight classes, respectively. They have been selected to compete in the 2024 NCAA Division 1 Championship, taking place in March in Kansas City.

The 157-pound weight class at our school features both the Nittany Lions and Levi Haines, as well as Greg Kerkvliet. These wrestlers competed in the 2nd NCAA tournament last March. Penn State is proud of its accomplishments, as it is the only school to have 10 wrestlers named in the Pre-Season Rankings. With a total of 149 points, our school has earned the top spot on the list.

The WIN Magazine released the advancement scores for the 2024 NCAA season, which may change depending on how wrestlers perform in the upcoming season. In the school rankings, Missouri came in second place with 70.5 points, followed by Virginia Tech in third place with 64.5 points. However, Cornell University dominated with a score of 149 points.
