On November 17 of the same year, Johnny Walker stepped into the UFC octagon for his debut fight against Khalil Rountree Jr. at Fight Night 140. Walker wasted no time in asserting his dominance, earning a first round knockout victory. This impressive performance earned him his first bonus award for Performance of the Night.

On February 2, 2019, Walker fought Justin Ledet for the second time. He once again impressed by knocking out Ledet in only fifteen seconds during the first round. As a result, he received his second Performance of the Night award. This solidified his position as one of the top prospects in the UFC at that time.

At this juncture, Walker appeared invincible as he achieved yet another victory, this time against Misha Cirkunov. He quickly knocked out his opponent, solidifying his win. However, his undefeated streak came to an end with his first defeat.
