A 39-year-old wrestler from WWE may possibly disrupt the title match between Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes at Fastlane 2023.

Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso have joined forces as a tag team and are ready to compete for a championship at WWE Fastlane next week. Ever since Cody Rhodes mentored Jey Uso on the red brand, the two have formed a strong bond. They share a common goal of taking down The Judgement Day.

During the latest episode of Raw, Rhodes rescued Uso from an aggressive attack by Judgement Day. As a result, Adam Pearce confirmed their match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against Finn Balor and Damian Priest. However, Owens’ frustration may hinder their journey to the title. Let’s consider this scenario further.

Is Kevin Owens’ anger going to have a significant impact on the outcome of the title match between Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso at Fastlane?

It is speculated that WWE is considering a major push for the 39-year-old wrestler, which may result in him becoming a villain. Kevin Owens has been portraying a positive character for over 400 days, following his transition from being a villain on the August 8, 2022 episode of WWE RAW.

A few weeks back, Rhodes put the Right-Hand man in Raw, which didn’t sit well with KO. It’s understandable as he had a resentment towards The Bloodline for continually attacking him and Zayn.

Jey Uso recently shared his true feelings for Rhea Ripley after turning down an offer for Judgment Day.

Taking advantage of this momentum, Owens suggested a potential change in attitude at Fastlane, displaying obvious disgust towards the team of Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso and their upcoming championship match. Therefore, it would not be surprising if Owens’ troubled relationship with Jey Uso ultimately leads to their defeat at this Saturday’s PPV.

On the flip side, Sami Zayn, the other half of the tag team, appears to have contrasting opinions about Jey Uso.

It is possible that Sami Zayn will not align with Kevin Owens if he betrays Jey Uso and becomes a villain at Fastlane.

Although his tag partner had a completely different view on the alliance between Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes, Zayn did not share the same sentiment.

The ex-Bloodline member expressed his joy at Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso joining forces to fight against The Judgment Day. He referred to them as his close friends and wished them success.

Still, Zayn expressed his discontent with the outcome, as he believes they are the rightful holders of the highly prized tag team titles.

Owens and Zayn became the Undisputed WWE Tag Team champions at WrestleMania 39 this year after defeating The Usos in an intense match. However, they were forced to relinquish their titles to Priest and Balor at Payback, thanks to the interference of JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio. This same interference prevented them from reclaiming the title in a rematch on the September 25th episode of Raw.

Now it will really be cool to see if Owens retaliates and costs Uso and Rhodes the title out of sheer frustration and if it affects his relationship with Zayn in any way. What’s your take on the chance of Kevin Owens’ pulling off his dark side to cost Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso the title on Fastlane? Sound off in the comments.
