The PAL airline is planning to resume flights from Cebu to Mindanao and Bicol in order to cater to the temporary increase in demand.

PAL announced that it plans to resume additional flights from Cebu to Bicol and Mindanao in preparation for an expected increase in travelers during the upcoming holiday season.

Captain Stanley K. Ng, President and Chief Operating Officer of PAL, expressed excitement for the reestablishment of our Cebu-General Santos, Cebu-Legazpi, and Cebu-Ozamiz routes, which will allow us to serve more passengers and foster stronger relationships during the busy holiday season.

PAL announced that they will be offering daily flights between Cebu and General Santos City (GenSan) starting in December. This will also include daily flights between Cebu and Legazpi in the Bicol Region.

The company announced that it will recommence its usual flights, operating three times a week, between Cebu and Ozamiz City beginning on December 16th.

Mr. Ng stated that our recently added routes will facilitate better connections for individuals living in GenSan, Legazpi, and Ozamiz to various domestic destinations such as Iloilo, Bacolod, Tacloban, Davao, Busuanga, and also international destinations like Bangkok, Tokyo Narita, and Seoul Incheon via Cebu.

Earlier this year, PAL announced that it would be increasing its codeshare agreement with China Airlines by adding two new routes to Taiwan.

As part of the collaboration, PAL will provide four weekly flights that are shared with another airline between Manila and Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

The two airlines’ codeshare partnership also calls for PAL and China Airlines to operate 14 weekly flights each. It also allows China Airlines to access the local carrier’s domestic network by placing its “CI” code on select PAL-operated flights. — Ashley Erika O. Jose
