On Tuesday, CHERY Tiggo easily defeated Gerflor in a swift and ruthless manner, reclaiming their momentum in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference at the Filoil EcoOil Arena.

Eya Laure displayed her fierce and unrelenting skills once again, leading all players with 12 points, 11 of which came from kills. This helped the Crossovers secure their third victory in four games and maintain their position in the top four teams.

It also provided a sense of relief for Chery Tiggo after their tough loss to Akari on October 24 in Antipolo City. The match ended with a score of 25-20, 18-25, 25-22, 25-20 and marked the end of Chery Tiggo’s two-game winning streak.

The 24-year-old ex-superstar of the University of Santo Tomas explained that everything began with their offensive serves and defensive receptions.

Ms. Laure also commended Princess Robles, who led the second unit and contributed nine hits, for playing a crucial role in the third set when the Defenders put pressure on the Crossovers and nearly won the same period.

However, the mentor of the Chery Tiggo team was somewhat dissatisfied with their performance in the third set.

“Coach Aaron Velez reminds us to always be prepared for anything, as things can change in an instant.”

The Defenders have yet to win in four attempts, according to Joey Villar.
